Basic information on the state of development of deep geothermal energy in the Netherlands is condensed in Country Updates. The last update was written in December 2009. 

Legal Framework

Between 2007 and 2009 the European GTR-H project (Geothermal Regulation -Heat) reviewed the regulatory barriers and deficiencies of EU countries. A review of the regulatory framework in the Netherlands was produced during this project.
